Ripe, in-season berries are the perfect complement to tender mesclun greens, salty blue cheese, and crunchy nuts. Enjoy this salad as a light and refreshing summer lunch or pair it with juicy, char-grilled chicken for an easy, weeknight dinner.


  • 3 cups mesclun salad greens
  • ¾ cup strawberries quartered
  • ¾ cup blueberries
  • 2 Tbsp Citarella balsamic dressing
  • ½ lb Danish blue cheese crumbles
  • ¼ cup pecans, walnuts, or almonds optional


  1. Place salad greens and berries in a large bowl and drizzle with dressing.
  2. Toss ingredients, to combine well.
  3. Add blue cheese crumbles and nuts; toss lightly so that the cheese doesn't fall apart.
