    • If an order is received by 4 PM Monday through Wednesday, your order will be processed and shipped within 24 hours. Therefore an order placed by 4 PM, Monday through Wednesday will arrive TWO days after order is placed.
    • If an order is placed after 4 PM, that order will be considered part of the next day’s orders.
    • If an order is placed by 4 PM on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday, you will receive it by Tuesday of the following week. You will also have the option to choose a Saturday delivery for an extra charge.
    • We ship all perishable items Fed Ex Priority Overnight to arrive by 10:30 AM.  Someone must be present to sign for the order. We sell perishable product that must be refrigerated upon arrival to maintain the high quality and freshness.
    • We need 24 HOURS from receipt of your order to process and fulfill it. You may place an order anytime, up to one week before your desired delivery date.




      Because most of our products are perishable, all orders require a signature upon delivery, so that they are refrigerated immediately upon arrival.

We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes, A.P.O./F.P.O.’s or outside of the continental United States.

To maintain freshness and quality, if an order includes a perishable item, the whole order has to be shipped priority overnight.

Perishable orders are shipped via Federal Express Priority Overnight. Non-perishable items are shipped FEDEX Ground or FEDEX Express Saver.

For nationwide shipments, we use polystyrene boxes and ice packs to insulate perishable products in order to maintain the quality and integrity of your products. You will get it fresh and to keep it fresh, we suggest immediately refrigerating or freezing all perishable items. For more information about recycling, you can visit  In NYC, you can get more specific information at

Saturday delivery is available on all orders placed through Thursday, for an additional Fed Ex charge.

Priority overnight and Saturday delivery service are not available to customers in “remote” locations. For purposes of this Agreement, the term “remote” locations are defined as locations outside of Federal Express’ Priority Delivery areas. If your order destination may be in a remote location, call Federal Express (800-GO-FEDEX) or go to to verify service availability. Due to being in a remote area, your delivery may arrive by 4:30 PM.






  • Shipping charges are determined by weight of order (including all ice packs needed to maintain freshness) and size of box.  This charge is determined by the shipping company.
  • Most perishable items are sold by the weight. We estimate the total of your order and make sure you only pay for what is sent. So after carefully preparing and packaging your order for shipping  we then charge you for the actual weight of product.
  • Upon submission of your order, we will request a pre-authorization from your credit card company to allow for weight fluctuations. However, we do not actually charge your credit card until the order is shipped. You will only be charged the actual final amount, which is determined after we hand prepare, weigh and finalize your order. When checking your statement, there will only be one charge, reflecting the actual dollar amount of your order.
  • All orders will require 24 hours from receipt date to be processed and shipped.
  • Orders placed after 4pm will be processed the following business day.
  • Items ordered after Thursday, and Priority Overnight orders received on Thursday are shipped the following Monday to arrive on Tuesday.
  • All shipping costs are based on actual weight and dimension of box.
  • There is an additional $25.00 fee for Priority Overnight Saturday Delivery.
  • All prices are exclusive of sales tax.
  • There will be a sales tax charge of 8.875% on all taxable items, such as housewares, baskets and accessories when available.
  • All prices set forth herein or on the Websites are subject to change without notice.
  • Items ordered together may arrive in separate boxes.

    If we are temporarily out of stock on a particular item, we will substitute a similar product of equal or greater value to meet your requested delivery date. In compliance with the terms of our Privacy Policy, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to contact you by e-mail or phone if there are any backorders or problems with your order, so please make sure to provide us with accurate contact information.




      Except with respect to payment obligations, Citarella will not be liable for, or will not be considered to be in breach of this Agreement on account of, any delay or failure to perform as required by this Agreement as a result of any causes or conditions that are beyond our reasonable control and that we are unable to overcome through the exercise of commercially reasonable diligence. If any force majeure event occurs (which shall include, without limitation, acts of God, telecommunications, Internet or network failure, results of vandalism or computer hacking, fire, explosion, storm or other natural occurrences, any conflicting order, direction, action or request of the United States government (including, without limitation, state and local governments) or of any regulatory department, agency, commission, court, bureau, corporation or other instrumentality, or of any civil of military authority, national emergencies, insurrections, riots, wars, strikes, lockouts, work stoppages or other such labor difficulties), we will use commercially reasonable efforts to minimize the impact of such event. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Citarella’s obligations to one another shall be excused and/or postponed during and only for the duration of the applicable force majeure event and shall resume as soon as practicable after the force majeure event has ended. Citarella is not liable for loss, damage, or delay caused by events we cannot control, including acts of God, perils of the air, weather conditions, or if there is no one available to accept the package. If the package that you are shipping is perishable, please make sure that the recipient will be home to receive it.

The contents of the Websites are protected by copyright and trademark laws and are the property of Citarella.

The law of the State of New York applies to all transactions originating from the Websites. The customer agrees that in the event any action that arises out of or relates to the transaction of business through this site will be filed only in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York. And the customer hereby submits to the exclusive personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purpose of litigating such action.
