NYC)
Basic Job Function:
Providing an exceptional
shopping experience for our
customers by listening,
responding to customer
needs, product knowledge,
people skills, positive
energy level,
dependability, excellent
math skills and verbal
communication. Knowledge of
organic and natural products
preferred but not required.

Tasks/Responsibilities:
-
Implement plans for
achieving departmental objectives and business needs.
-
Handles all types of
customer transactions;
receives payment and/or
obtains credit card
authorization and is
responsible for ensuring
accuracy of such
processes.
-
Supervision of staff
including training and
motivation to achieve
department goals.
-
Oversee the checkout
stations and the
effective operation of
the front of the store;
regularly monitors
checkout stations to
ensure adequate cash
available. Ensures that
checkout areas are
properly maintained in
clean and orderly
condition; approves
transactions that
require multiple review.

Handles
customer/employee
complaints quickly and
efficiently in order to
achieve customer
satisfaction.
-
Keeps Store Manager
informed of all
activities within own
area of responsibility.
-
Responsible for
merchandising and proper
signage.
-
Follows accepted store
policies and procedures
in a “hands on”
management style.
-
Trains and assigns
employees to specific
duties, working together
as a team, and follows
up to ensure expected
results.
-
In addition, other
duties required as
directed by management.
Additional Requirements:
-
Required to stand during
scheduled hours.
Flexibility to work
store schedule including
nights, weekends and
holidays (minimum 45
hours per week, 10-12
hours per day, 5-6 days
per week), open and
close schedule.

Working rapidly,
especially during peak
periods to ensure that
all customers are being
services properly and
the store operations are
being completed in a
timely manner.

Ability to read and
write the English
language, conduct
business related
mathematics and analyze
data as required.

Strong attention to
detail and proficiency
with numbers.
-
Ability to communicate
clearly, concisely and
persuasively.
-
Ability to solve
practical problems and
provide policy driven
resolutions.
We are seeking candidates
with exceptional customer
skills. Weekends and
holidays are required. We
are open to the public
7am-11pm however store
associates open to set-up at
5:30am and close to clean-up
at approximately 11:30pm.
Full-time associates must
be available to work any and
all shifts in-between those
hours.
