PASTRY COOK (Hunts
Point - BX)
Responsibilities:
-
Take on constant and
regular production while
maintaining an efficient
and profitable food cost
percentage.
-
Plans and prepares
non-baked goods and
finish, decorating,
plating and cutting
baked goods as required
to fulfill assigned work
duties.
-
Demonstrate enthusiasm,
teamwork, and
dependability making all
fillings, frostings,
tarts, pies, strudels,
gourmet pastries, and
all items produced in
the pastry department.
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities:
-
Possess an understanding
of every facet of the
gourmet pastry
department
-
Demonstrated experience
(1-3 years) and ability
to make pastry and
product identification
-
Acquired the ability to
read and follow
instructions from the
executive chef.
-
Recognized the ability
to work with individuals
and teams of
diversebackgrounds as a
member of a team
-
Demonstrated flexibility
to adapt to change
This full-time hourly
position is part of a
high-volume Pastry
production team located in
our 24 hour facility in the
Hunts Point section of the
Bronx. Full-time associates
must be available to work
any and all shifts.
Holidays, weekends,
overnight, and overtime work
will be required.
