MEAT COUNTER ASSOCIATE
(Various Store Locations in
NYC)
-
Must be customer service
oriented and have
previous meat counter
experience
-
Place meat cuts and
products in display
counter, so they will
appear attractive and
catch the shopper's eye.
-
Shape, lace, and tie
roasts, using boning
knife, skewer, and
twine.
-
Wrap, weigh, label and
price cuts of meat.
-
Customer Service - Serve
and assist customers at
the counter explaining
the products flavor,
taste and how they are
prepared from personal
knowledge and training.
-
Maintain and stock
product in display,
understanding product
dating and inventory
control.
-
Maintain clean and
organized work station,
back room, storage and
surrounding areas.
-
Follow all guidelines
and procedures as
outlined in the health
and safety policy manual
and as set by the Meat
Department Manager and
Store Manager.

Basic meat cooking
techniques (cooking
time, temperatures-
internal/external)
-
Understanding the use of
cutting equipment,
grinders, etc.
Candidates must be able to
read, write, and speak
English with proficiency. We
are seeking candidates with
exceptional customer skills
and previous meat counter
experience. Weekends and
holidays are required. We
are open to the public
7am-11pm however store
associates open to set-up at
5:00am and close at 11:30pm.
Full-time associates must
be available to work any and
all shifts in-between those
hours.
