On June 2, 2005, Citarella, the ultimate gourmet market, will open its sixth store, located in the heart of Harlem at 461 West 125th Street, between Amsterdam and Morningside Avenues. Rockefeller Center will soon see a Citarella. The 150-seat restaurant and adjacent retail store are to be located in the historic Hurley’s space, a four-story townhouse named for the feisty Irish saloonkeeper. Prominent architect David Rockwell, who recently directed the makeover of Radio City Music Hall will be the designer in charge.
